NAMPA TRAIN DEPOT MUSEUM
The original Canyon County Historical Museum is located in the historic
Oregon Short Line Depot in downtown Nampa
Construction began in 1902 and the depot opened in September of 1903. It served as Nampa's
train depot until the Union Pacific depot on
the north side of the tracks was completed in the latter part of
1925. This building then served as offices for the Union Pacific.
The building was eventually donated to the Canyon County Historical Society by
the Union Pacific Railroad. It was restored and converted into a museum by
the Canyon County Historical Society and dedicated July 3, 1976.
